Dr. Michael Schlewet, MD

ENT Physician | Sleep & Airway Health Expert

Dr. Michael Schlewet is a board-certified Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) physician with advanced expertise in sleep-disordered breathing, TMJ-related airway issues, and minimally invasive sinus surgery. Known for his holistic and patient-centered approach, Dr. Schlewet collaborates closely with sleep specialists and Dr. David who is a specialist in airway-centered dentistry to deliver comprehensive care for patients with TMJ disorders, chronic sinus conditions, and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Key Contributor to Our Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Dr. Schlewet plays a key role in our multidisciplinary collaboration (sleep doctor, ENT, primary care and airway dentist) to provide an integrated treatment plan for our patients suffering from TMJ and sleep disorders. Collectively they collaborate in the following manner:

• Sleep doctors are engaged to assess and manage sleep apnea and related conditions;
• As an airway dentist, Dr. David and her team focus on addressing a patient’s jaw alignment, bruxism, and develop oral appliances to treat these conditions;
• Dr. Schlewet uses his expertise to optimize airway function and improve overall health.

Lastly, primary care providers are keep abreast of progress as they often refer to our team and will be formally apprised of progress with their patients.

Kesone S

Registered Dental Hygienist / Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist

Kay has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 25 years and is certified to deliver local anesthesia. She has been working in a private practice in Bolton for over 10 years. Kay has been educating our patients about their dental health and takes pride in her ability to convey what dental treatment they need and why they need it. She also loves caring for our patients and being able to provide them with many types of treatments. She is excited to meet new patients and working with both children and adults.

Kay has completed many programs over 10 years, including post graduate courses in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.

Kay lives in Bolton with her family and her dog. In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf and tennis, skiing and snowshoeing in winter.

Melanie D

Licensed Dental Assistant

Melanie is a certified and licensed dental assistant. She has been dental assisting since 2003 and working with Dr. David since 2013. What she loves most about being a dental assistant is helping patients feel comfortable and have a pleasant experience! She assists mostly in our TMJ and Sleep Therapy Center, helping patients with TMJ pain and sleep disorders.

Melanie stays busy with her three daughters. Some of her favorite things to do are camping and skiing with family and friends.

Claudia H

Dental Assistant

Claudia has been working as a Dental Assistant since 2006. She joined our wonderful team in 2012. She has had the opportunity to further her education and knowledge beyond traditional dentistry. She has been trained on TMJ & Sleep Therapy and is thoroughly involved in the initial assessment records, treatment and subsequent evaluation appointments. She is also a certified Phlebotomy technician since 2018.

She gets satisfaction in seeing patients improve their quality of life. She enjoys the opportunity to work with the leading technology. Claudia takes pride in providing her patients a positive dental experience and addresses their needs and concerns. She lives in Framingham with her husband and two girls. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Paulette L

Insurance and Billing Coordinator

Paulette has been with the office since 1999. She brings over 25 years’ experience working in the dental field. Paulette enjoys her job very much, even when she is dealing with insurance companies. She has expertise with dental/medical billing, claims and is committed to helping our patients understand the more complex aspect of dental and medical insurance.

Paulette enjoys exercising, practicing yoga, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband, 2 boys, family and friends.

Mara

Patient Coordinator

Mara has been working with our team since 2015. She comes with over 15 years of dental experience and is excited to work with such a wonderful and educated staff.

Mara takes pride in working at Dentistry by Dr. David and building relationships with our amazing patients. She is committed to providing as much information regarding our patient’s dental benefits to ensure a pleasant and informed visit.

Mara currently resides in Hudson with her husband and sons Kyle and Liam. In her free time she enjoys riding her bicycle and spending time with friends and family.

Maria B

Phlebotomist

Maria has been with our office since 2020. She has over 5 years of dental experience. Her outgoing, meticulous manner is an asset to our front desk. Maria has been a certified phlebotomist since 2022. She loves working at Dentistry by Dr. David because she gets to work alongside with great staff and enjoys interacting with our wonderful patients. She is committed on helping each patient have the best experience in the dental office.

Maria currently resides in Fitchburg with her husband and two children. Maria is passionate about her family and loves spending time with them. She enjoys traveling, shopping and hosting family gatherings.

Sam P

Dental Assistant

Sam has been a dental assistant for more than three years and has been a member of the Bolton Center for Dental Wellness for most of that time. He completed his training for Dental Assisting and received his certificate at a vocational high school. Sam believes a critical aspect to his role is to ensure that ALL patients have a wonderful, relaxing and satisfying dental visit. As a member of the clinical team, Sam supports our team of doctors both at chairside and with the operational “behind the scenes” work that needs to be done to coordinate activities with any external lab companies with whom the Bolton Center for Dental Wellness works, to provide our patients with the best that dentistry has to offer! You may even see Sam helping at the front desk on occasion to ensure our patients have the best experience possible while in the office.

Sam enjoys working with ALL of our patients, whether they are frequently visiting us or if we only see them a few times per year. He very strongly believes in the benefits and value that our Holistic Dentistry approach provides to our patients and takes pride in how the team tailors our treatment plans to the individual, while maintaining the guiding principle of maintaining a healthy and pain-free mouth and body!
